Build Your First Automation

Step 1: Pick a Tool

Start with Zapier or Make. Both are beginner-friendly and have great tutorials.

Step 2: Choose Your Use Case

Pick one task you do repeatedly that takes time. This is your automation target.

Step 3: Plan the Flow

Think about what should happen:

1. What triggers the automation? (email arrives, form filled, time of day)
2. What should happen next? (send message, add to sheet, create task)
3. Are there any conditions? (only if it contains certain words)

Step 4: Set It Up

Use your tool's visual editor. Connect your apps, set the triggers and actions. Usually takes 10-15 minutes!

Step 5: Test It

Run a test to make sure it works. Then celebrate — you've built your first automation!
